Importing to Zimbabwe, here are the rates for commonly imported goods

japcar If you smuggle goods, you will forfeit your goods and also pay a penalty. Ouch!!! Keep on the right side of the law. Give to Zimra what belongs to Zimra. In response to the Minister of Finances snub at husbands buying used underwear, I suppose, a husband will not be buying his wife a bale of used underwear. I am sure a kilo of underwear will be the maximum he’d buy, so I suppose he may get away without paying duty. I dont know. But to be honest, how many African men, buy underwaer for their wifes? Anyways, back to issue at hand, below is a list of goods and the rated they are taxed at. Note that cars pay customs duty and tax, so take note.

After reading this post I began to wonder why SARS would be considering ‘generous’ import relief for cross border traders and travellers. This prompts closer collaboration with our neighbours, me thinks!
