University of Auckland is Doctoral scholarships in New Zealand

University of Auckland is awarding doctoral scholarships for domestic students and domestic-fee paying international students to study for a Doctorate in a health-related area. Up to three scholarships will be awarded annually to scholars enrolled full-time at University of Auckland. Applicants who have paid the fees or have arranged to pay the fees for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy or the research component of another approved Doctorate are also eligible. Scholarship will provide a tax-free stipend of up to $25,000 per annum plus compulsory domestic PhD fees and international student health insurance (if applicable), for up to 36 months. Part-time students shall be paid pro-rata for up to 72 months. The application deadline is 1 November 2015.

Selection will be based on academic merit (measured by the grade point average assessed over the applicant’s two most recent years of equivalent full-time study), quality of research proposal and endorsement by the proposed supervisor and host academic unit.
