Canada Science and Technology Internship Program for the year 2016

Applications are invited for Science and Technology Internship Program for the year 2016. It is an opportunity to graduates in natural science and engineering to gain relevant and meaningful work experiences within their field of studies. The maximum contribution per internship from the Science and Technology Internship Program fund is $13,200 over a maximum of 52 weeks. The duration of internship is 12 months.

Eligibility: Postsecondary in the field of the natural sciences, unemployed or underemployed and not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits at any time during the internship
-Graduated, with a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant natural science field such as earth science, forestry, energy and mineral and metals
-30 years of age or less at the start of the internship
-Legally entitled to work in Canada; this includes Permanent Residents and persons granted refugee status in Canada
-A first-time youth participant placed in the Career Focus Program under the Youth Employment Strategy (YES).

Internship Open for International Students: Canadian applicants are eligible to apply for this internship programme.

Internship Description: The Science and Technology Internship Program began in 1997 following the announcement of the Youth Employment Strategy led by Human Resources and Social Development Canada. Since then, Natural Resources Canada has been contributing to around 50- 80 internships each year in an effort to assist youth find valuable work experiences.
