2015 World Bank Internship

Applications are invited for the World Bank Internship programme which provides graduate students practical experience in global development. This Internship typically seeks candidates in the following fields: economics, finance, human development (public health, education, nutrition, and population), social science (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, private sector development as well as other related fields. This is a paid internship. The only variation in salary among interns is that U.S. nationals are paid a gross salary for tax reasons and foreign nationals are paid a net salary. Interns are responsible for their housing and subsistence from their salaries. Internship application deadline is January 31 2015.

-Generally, successful candidates have completed their first year of graduate studies or are already into their PhD programs.
– Fluency in English is required.
-Prior relevant work experience, computing skills, as well as knowledge of languages such as French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Chinese are advantageous.

Is this paid internship? Yes, The Bank pays an hourly salary to all Interns and, where applicable, provides an allowance towards travel expenses. Interns are responsible for their own living accommodations.

2014/15 Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Edinburgh

University of Edinburgh is offering 15 undergraduate scholarships for international students for the 2014-2015 session. Scholarships are available for the students who are nationals of countries outwith the EU for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. Awards are tenable for the duration of the programme of study and each award worth £2,000 per year. Scholarships are competitive and awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. The winners of the scholarship will be announced in late May 2015. The application deadline is 1 April 2015.
